Great kick off for the first webmonday in Kaiserslautern

Kaiserslautern is a city with a long tradition in soccer and a short tradition in high tech.

But “short” does not mean “unsuccessful”: K-Town is full of brilliant people working for leading research institutes like Fraunhofer or DFKI and some people even call this city in the middle of the woods the “German Silicon Valley”.

Yesterday a bunch of about 25 of these brilliant people gathered around laptops, beamers and beer at the brand new stylish ITWM building to exchange ideas, listen to some interesting presentations and get together in informal discussion groups.

I would call this evening a successful kick off and will surely attend the next webmonday in KL again … keep up the good work guys!

Till then I´ll keep up the hope that the next time the beer will be REAL COLD ;-)
